A former University of Leicester International Study Centre student has been shortlisted for the prestigious Telegraph STEM Awards 2017.
Oishi from India
Oishi was nominated in the ‘Power Systems’ category, sponsored by Rolls-Royce. She studied the International Foundation Year Engineering and Technology at the University of Leicester International Study Centre. She is now studying the BEng Software and Electronic Engineering at the University of Leicester.
Oishi said, “I am really pleased that my idea got shortlisted by Rolls-Royce. I got the opportunity to present my idea face to face to the directors and very high up people at Rolls-Royce. It was a great experience.”
She was also shortlisted for the TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year award for Computer Science, IT and Physics.
